Born in Casablanca, Mustapha Fahmi is a writer, lecturer, and professor of English literature at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, where he served as vice-rector from 2012 to 2017. After La leçon de Rosalinde, published in 2018, La promesse de Juliette is his second book for Éditions La Peuplade.
