Born in Casablanca, Mustapha Fahmi is a writer, lecturer, and professor of English literature at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, where he served as vice-rector from 2012 to 2017. After La leçon de Rosalinde, published in 2018, then La promesse de Juliette (2021), La beauté de Cléopâtre is his third book for Éditions La Peuplade.
