Born in 1978 in Vienna, Kaśka Bryla grew up between the Austrian capital and Warsaw. After studying political economy in Vienna, she continued her education at the German Literary Institute in Leipzig. There, in 2015, she co-founded the literary magazine and authors’ network PS – Politisch Schreiben. She has published two novels and three plays. Les oiseaux sous la glace, published by Le Quartanier in 2025, is her first book to be translated into French.
