The night is falling over the Tagus river banks. Silhouettes move. Only the lapping of water can be heard. Suddenly, screams. A body has fallen overboard and is desperately trying to reach the docks. It’s a wounded woman. Unfortunately, when she gets on land, a man is waiting to finish her off with an anchor. From afar, a shadow is observing the scene. When the killer has fled with an accomplice on a motorboat, the mysterious being drags the corpse into the bowels of the city. The two murderers turn out to be the idle heirs of a local real estate tycoon. Alberto and Lourenço have always disappointed their father. They would much rather shoot porn rodeo films than grow the family businesses. No matter if the girls they hire die from the realization of their fantasy. Up to now, the privileged ones’ sense of impunity has not been hindered. But this time, they picked the wrong victim and they might not get away with murder…
Across town, Oulianov, a Russian immigrant who just got out from jail, is searching for Irina, his missing sister. His investigation leads him to a secret place in the undergrounds of the city. There, the one who calls himself “the devil” takes care of Irina’s dead body as if she were still alive. A breathtaking dive into the Lisbon underworld and the fakes, truth and lies of those who feel invulnerable.

Shortlisted for the Violeta Negra Prize 2018 – Polars du Sud.
