A chilling thriller. Lies, revelations and revenge in Boston.

Boston P.D.’s on edge. The naked body of Dr. Robert Bennett was found horribly mutilated in the campus medical unit. Both his hands are missing and his body is carved with a knife with an “Our Father…”. Act of an unbalanced, satanist or atrocious parricide? In addition to this sordid murder, there have been some disturbing suicides. And what about the death threats sent to Senator Milton and the raven telling people that their children are not theirs? Merry, the police captain is on edge, he’s counting on his best detectives, Dan McKee and Jade Disalvo. Two bloodhounds who made their duty a priority. Probably to better avoid facing their lives and the demons that await them. The Children of the Planets sect is ready to recover lost souls.

The author

Patrice Guirao has been living in Tahiti since 1968. It was on this remote island that he wrote his novels, including the Al Dorsey saga—Crois-le ! ; Lyao-ly ; Si tu nous regardes ; Tu vois ; Rien n’est perdu (published by Au vent des îles)—, brought to the screen by France Télévisions in 2017. Lilith Tereïa’s series of investigations: Le bûcher de Moorea and Les disparus de Pukatapu (published by Laffont - La Bête Noire) gives her access to the selection “Les Nouvelles Voix du Polar 2020”. In parallel to his work on the novel “Noir Azur”, whose plots are set in Polynesia, he is also part of the great family of thriller writers. With works such as À la lueur du sang and today #Mainsdeglace, his characters evolve in the heart of an America he knows well from having lived and worked there with musician friends since the 1980s.
