Immobile journeys without a compass, alleyways woven with ivy that link the earth to the cosmos, Les pas fantômes takes us far down the path of images and reversals. Uncultivated, walled or secret courtyards, a Persian carpet conceived as a garden open to the world, here we meet furtive birds, spontaneous flowers and arthropods populated by escaping dreams. The experience of illness and a dizzying diagnosis during the writing of this book led the author to sublimate the outside on unexpected paths where, sometimes, everything surprisingly turns green again.

Here the walker descends to the heart’ floor, here the gaze dissolves into the city he has crossed, here the gardens of Tabriz awaken.
