Standing-paid + the fury of Cannes = Des types comme nous.

Los Angeles, May 2017. In a villa overlooking the city, two of the most influential producers discover, dismayed, Days in Hell, a film in which they have invested millions. And obviously, it promises to be hell: in a few days, this turnip will be presented in official competition at Cannes. Cannes, a few hours before the opening of the festival. Dusan, originally from the Balkans, is a security guard at the Monoprix. He is discreet, helpful, sporty and disciplined. He has been offered a special mission by his temp agency for the duration of the festival: to protect the team of a film in competition, Days in Hell, starring Kristen Warwick, the young star that the world cinema is tearing itself away from. For a silent filmmaker determined to live away from the hustle and bustle, it’s both a godsend and a cause for anguish. But he’ll get the job done.

The author

Roman Strajnic was born in 1977. Son of Serbian political immigrants, he spent his youth in the south of France. Afterwards, he worked for fifteen years as a film distributor, supporting Luc Besson at EuropaCorp, then Pierre-Ange le Pogam at Stone Angels. In this context, he will organize about fifty tours in the provinces to promote the release of films and for thirteen years, he will be in charge of bringing teams to the Cannes Film Festival (actors, directors, producers, distributors). In 2014, he published Les colonnes d’Hercule by Khbar Bladna, a publisher from Tangers. He now lives in the Paris region with his wife and their daughter.
