Who is Trufrock?
An insomniac dandy, a fan of Chuck Berry and J.S. Bach, and a member of the mysterious Kit Kat Club, he takes us to an extraordinary country, to the other side of the mirror.
In Trufrock’s world, we meet a talking car, a pianist with cut off fingers, François Villon, Pelléas and Mélisande, a crazy psychiatrist and many other creatures.
An immobile traveler, Trufrock is the incarnation of a man—and an era—in which literature can only survive under the mask of the grotesque.

The author

Alexis Tchkotoua was born in 1979 and studied literature. Passionate about British culture—especially Shakespeare—he is a translator and lives in Paris. Trufrock is his first novel.
