1980, in Gwangju, students demonstrated against the ruling dictatorship. President Ro Tae-woo sent the army to crush the popular uprising. It was a massacre. A young activist runs away and hides. He had to leave for abroad. His family, closely watched, entrusts the little brother with the mission of bringing him money and a passport. Unfortunately, on the eve of leaving, he has a health problem. He asks a friend to take his place, who is soon joined by two other friends, a girl and a boy, as well as an old fisherman and his dog. Hiding under the tarpaulin of a truck, they begin a journey across Korea that turns into a real initiation trip.
