An incisive chronicle of the separation between political bodies and the politics of bodies.

This intervention text was created in a first version to be read during a performance with Callisto McNulty at the Centre Pompidou in January 2020.
Emilie Notéris has reworked and expanded it for this publication.
At once political and experimental, this short, incisive and squeaky text attempts to establish a record of police and sexual violence in the Macron era, through the prism of their media treatment and the political discourse that denies this same violence. A chronicle of the separation between the political bodies and the politics exerted on them.

The author

An author, translator and facilitator of writing workshops, Émilie Notéris defines herself as a "text worker". She has published several books since 2008, including La fiction réparatrice (2017), a queer study of popular film fiction. At the end of 2020, Alma Matériau, an art history from a feminist and decolonial perspective, should be published. She regularly participates in workshops and conferences in art circles.
She has translated numerous works (Eduardo Viveiros de Castro & Deborah Danowski, Slavoj Zizek, Sarah Schulman, etc.), including Émilie Hache’s anthology, Reclaim, in the collection Sorcières chez Cambourakis.

Noteworthy

First text for the Cambourakis publishing house by Emilie Notéris, translator of the anthology of ecofeminism Reclaim and author of several essays that question different art forms from feminist angles.
