Los Angeles, May 2017. In a villa overlooking the city, two of the most influential producers discover, dismayed, Days in Hell, a film in which they have invested millions. And obviously, it promises to be hell: in a few days, this turnip will be presented in official competition at Cannes. Cannes, a few hours before the opening of the festival. Dusan, originally from the Balkans, is a security guard at the Monoprix. He is discreet, helpful, sporty and disciplined. He has been offered a special mission by his temp agency for the duration of the festival: to protect the team of a film in competition, Days in Hell, starring Kristen Warwick, the young star that the world cinema is tearing itself away from. For a silent filmmaker determined to live away from the hustle and bustle, it’s both a godsend and a cause for anguish. But he’ll get the job done.
