Born in 1984, Anne-Sophie Brasme published her first novel, Respire, at the age of 17 with Fayard Editions, a best-seller adapted for film by Mélanie Laurent in 2014. Le carnaval des monstres (2005, Prix Feuille d’or de la ville de Nancy), Notre vie antérieure (2014) and Que rien ne tremble (2021) followed, were also published by Fayard. She lives and works in Alsace.

Dominique Scali’s Les marins ne savent pas nager is shortlisted for the Prix des 5 continents.

The Prix des 5 continents jury will select the winner in February 2024. The award ceremony will take place in March 2024, in conjunction with the Journée internationale de la Francophonie. The Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) will then promote the prize on the international literary scene for an entire year.
