After Angelus, the continuation of this medieval road-movie!
Year 1177.
The viscountess Ermengarde reigns alone over the rich county of Narbonne. She maintains a refined court of which the young troubadour Guilhem de Malpas is the most brilliant jewel. Under her protection, he prepares a new kind of show : Le Jeu d’Adam.
While the Count of Toulouse dreams of taking over the county, the merchants of Narbonne hatch a plot to establish a Republic. As for the Church of Rome, it is looking for allies to eradicate the Cathar heresy.
Weakened by illness, Ermengarde felt threatened from all sides. She called upon her nephew, Aymeri de Lara, to succeed her during her lifetime. Shortly after his arrival at the castle, the future heir dies mysteriously as well as one of the actors of Adam’s Game.
Guilhem de Malpas soon discovers that the murders are the result of his efforts to solve the mystery.
Conjurations, betrayals and plots are the cogs in a merciless game whose outcome will be fatal for an entire society.
